Our story is simple. Based in Croatia, we are just two foodies passionate about our country. Having travelled all over the world in the quest for new exciting flavours we are now thrilled with the new transforming Croatian food and wine scene. After more than 15 years of organising travels and working as tour guides in the region, we are proud to be able to create the best authentic travel experiences for our clients.

Food and wine being our passion, the focus of all our custom crafted journeys is discovering this region’s wonderful gastronomical diversity and its vibrant wine scene. Our mission is to take you on a journey where it will be your palate that will lead you through the discovery of this beautiful region’s astounding cultural and natural heritage.

Our philosophy

It is our mission is to make sure our clients enjoy the best possible authentic travel experience tailored specifically to their unique wishes.

At the same time, we try to foster the principles of responsible travel whenever it’s possible. It is very important to us that while providing you with the most exquisite travel experience, we also benefit the local community.

We try to accommodate our guests in locally owned small hotels or villas. If not possible, we try to find accommodation providers who operate following good environmental practices

Our focus is on individuals and small groups which makes it easier for our guests to have profound cultural experiences which also benefit the local community, at the same time avoiding the negative impact of tourism on nature and local culture.
We try to promote out of season travel. For our guests, it’s much more comfortable (not to mention cheaper!). It takes away the pressure that communities feel during peak summer months and prolongs the period that tourism is economically beneficial for them, both being important factors in enhancing the quality of life.
Aware of the fact that there are some points of interest that are an absolute “must” for most of the guests, and for a good reason, we make sure that our itineraries also include some of the off the beaten path hidden jewels.
We want to make sure your visit financially benefits the local community. Along with choosing locally owned accommodation providers, we choose local shops, taverns, restaurants and wine producers. We are very passionate about gastronomy and we take the concept of helping you discover local culture through it very seriously.
We employ local people. It can be expert guides and tour managers who are the only ones that can really give you the insight into people’s traditions, habits and lifestyle. It can also be chauffeurs and transfer companies.
Hidden Adriatic is happy to announce that we have engaged with the Travelife for Tour Operator & Travel Agents scheme. Travelife for Tour Operators and Travel Agents is internationally recognized and supported by the global travel industry as the preferred sustainability training, management and certification program for sustainability in tourism.

Travelife is a three-stage certification program for tour operators and travel agents: (1) Travelife Engaged; (2) Travelife Partner and (3) Travelife Certified.
We are at stage 1 – Travelife Engaged. We are working to move forward to stage 2 – Travelife Partner. To reach the Travelife Partner, we must meet the standard of over 100 sustainability criteria that can be grouped into five key areas: Office operations; Product development; Working with suppliers; Customer relations and destinations.

Our aim is to strengthen our commitment to sustainability management and to turn it into consistent sustainable business practices in tourism. From an industry ethical perspective, we believe sustainability statements should be third-party justified and certified. That’s why we chose Travelife for Tour Operator & Travel Agents for our sustainability engagement.
